Best Marketing Agencies for Plumbers (2026)

By · Published · Last updated

For most plumbing contractors the best marketing partner is Footbridge Media when budget is the constraint — $249/month, no contract, 2,000+ contractors since 2004 — or Hook Agency when you want a complete published rate card and can commit for a year. Plumbing Webmasters is the strongest plumbing-only specialist and takes no long-term contract. Only three of the ten companies below publish a price at all, which is why this list carries a pricing column and a lock-in column. Every agency was verified against its own website in September 2026, and the score comes from the published rubric further down the page.

Full disclosure

No agency paid for placement on this list, and there are no affiliate links or referral fees on this page. Karbon Agency publishes this list and appears on it; we are placed by the same score as everyone else, and on several of our lists that means we are not first.

The ranking, side by side

Ranked by the score below, which is explained in full under “How we ranked these”. The pricing and lock-in columns are the reason this page exists — almost no other list in this category will tell you what these agencies charge.

The list

Best for: owner-operators and small shops who want a real marketing program at a price they can read before calling anyone

Strengths

  • The lowest published price in the category by a wide margin: "No Contracts. No Hidden Fees. Just $249/Month", with $0 setup fees
  • Month-to-month with a 90-day money-back guarantee — "No long-term contracts here. We work month-to-month"
  • Contractor-only since 2004 and trusted by over 2,000 contractors, per its site; the program bundles website, hosting, content, local SEO, Google Business Profile, review management, CRM, scheduling and payments

Considerations

  • Paid-ads management (Google Ads, Local Services Ads) is not among the inclusions listed on the program page — budget separately if you want paid channels
  • Serves 14+ contractor trades rather than plumbing exclusively

Pricing: Published: $249/mo, $0 setup, 90-day money-back guarantee · Lock-in: No contracts — month-to-month

2.

Hook Agency

78/100

Best for: plumbers who want to compare a full rate card line by line and are willing to sign for a year

Strengths

  • The only complete published price list here: Local SEO $2,800/mo, AEO $4,000/mo, PPC $2,000/mo, Meta Ads $3,000/mo, standard website $1,000/mo ($12K over 12 months)
  • Publishes hard proof: 200+ contractors served, $240M+ revenue driven, 175+ five-star reviews
  • Home-services-only, with AI-search optimization (AEO) productized rather than bolted on

Considerations

  • A yearly commitment is required — "Marketing success is a marathon, not a sprint. A yearly commitment allows us to implement and optimize long-term strategies"
  • Its roots and much of its published case-study work are in roofing — ask to see plumbing results at your market size

Pricing: Published: Local SEO $2,800/mo · PPC $2,000/mo · Meta Ads $3,000/mo · AEO $4,000/mo · website from $1,000/mo · Lock-in: Yearly commitment stated on site

Best for: plumbers whose main problem is search visibility and who refuse to sign a long-term agreement

Strengths

  • Plumbing-exclusive — every page on the site addresses plumbing contractors and no other trade is offered
  • "There are no long-term contracts, and clients can cancel before launch without activating the monthly fee", per its site
  • 16+ years and 1,000+ SEO campaigns in the niche, with Answer Engine Optimization now productized alongside SEO and PPC

Considerations

  • The published "$99 to Start" is an activation figure, not a monthly rate — the real monthly cost only comes out on a call
  • Part of the stack is its own proprietary review product (DataPins); worth asking what stays with you if you leave

Pricing: Partially published: "$99 to Start" activation; monthly rate quoted on a call · Lock-in: No long-term contracts; cancel before launch without activating the fee

Best for: established plumbing companies that want the strongest published track record in the trades

Strengths

  • The best-documented results on this list: "Our system has generated 7.1M+ leads for 600+ home service contractors over 15 years" and "96%+ Average monthly client retention"
  • Trades-only — plumbing, HVAC and electrical, with trade-specific service pages rather than one generic offering
  • Inc. 5000, Google Premier Partner, PHCC, QSC, Service Roundtable and Nexstar affiliations displayed

Considerations

  • Neither price nor contract term is published anywhere on the site
  • It also markets to franchise groups and private-equity-backed platforms, so a single-location shop should confirm which tier and account team it lands in

Pricing: Pricing not published — quoted after a call · Lock-in: Not published

Best for: plumbers who want marketing, hiring, dispatch and sales training from a founder who ran a plumbing truck

Strengths

  • Plumbing-exclusive and founded by a former master plumber — "After 15 years as a master plumber in San Diego… Tony Gee decided to pursue his passion in online marketing"
  • Works with over 500 plumbing companies, per its site, with Yelp Advertising Partner and PHCC affiliations
  • The widest service surface here: SEO, Google, Yelp, Local Services and Facebook advertising, plus AI phone receptionists, virtual dispatch, hiring and homeowner financing

Considerations

  • Neither pricing nor contract terms appear anywhere on the site
  • Bundling marketing with operations services is an advantage if you want one vendor and more to evaluate if you only want lead generation

Pricing: Pricing not published — quoted after a call · Lock-in: Not published

6.

Karbon Agency

62/100That’s us — see disclosure above

Best for: plumbers who want Google and Meta ads run for them with a live dashboard tying spend to booked jobs, not to call counts

Strengths

  • AI-driven reporting — a live dashboard shows what every ad dollar did, down to the lead
  • No lock-in: month-to-month terms, cancel anytime
  • Published intro tiers starting at $500/month, so you know the cost before the first call

Considerations

  • Small, newer team — we don't have a decade-deep case-study library yet
  • Not plumbing-exclusive — a local-business specialist rather than a trades-only shop with a dispatch and hiring arm

Pricing: Published: intro tiers from $500/month · Lock-in: None — month-to-month

Best for: multi-truck plumbing companies that want the resources of a very large home-services agency

Strengths

  • The deepest bench here: "After merging with Blue Corona in 2024, RYNO now has over 300 full-time employees throughout the United States serving nearly 1,000 local businesses"
  • Google Premier Partner since 2016, ServiceTitan Gold Partner and a Nexstar strategic partner
  • Full funnel including generative engine optimization, Local Services Ads, connected-TV advertising, call intelligence and CSR coaching

Considerations

  • Neither price nor contract term is published; with ~1,000 clients it is worth asking whether your market already has one
  • Tracking runs through its own RYNOtrax platform — confirm data access and export terms up front

Pricing: Pricing not published — quoted after a call · Lock-in: Not published

Best for: plumbing contractors who want a steady full-service partner scoped only to HVAC, plumbing and electrical

Strengths

  • Trades-only across HVAC, plumbing and electrical, with every service page scoped to those contractor types
  • "We've helped 300+ Home Service businesses grow their leads and profits" and an Inc. 5000 Fastest Growing Company five years running
  • Includes Local Service Ads by Google alongside paid search, remarketing, SEO, reputation and live chat

Considerations

  • Its About page states no founding year or team size, so tenure has to be established on a call
  • Neither price nor contract term is published

Pricing: Pricing not published — quoted after a call · Lock-in: Not published

9.

Scorpion

53/100

Best for: large plumbing operations and franchises that want a national vendor with its own technology stack

Strengths

  • The largest published footprint here: 20,000+ businesses helped, $100 billion+ in revenue generated and 200 million+ leads driven, with Google, Meta and Microsoft Advertising partner badges
  • A dedicated plumbing practice with 30+ plumbing client logos and named results such as EZ Flow (+64% revenue) and Molberg (+49%)
  • Unusually clear about terms: "Scorpion typically requires a 12-month contract for our marketing technology and certain marketing services like search engine optimization (SEO). Digital advertising services like Google Ads, LSAs, Meta, etc. are typically month-to-month terms."

Considerations

  • The only genuine generalist here — plumbing sits alongside legal, medical and franchise practices
  • Pricing is not published; its own FAQ answers the cost question with "The investment you decide to make with Scorpion depends on your business goals"

Pricing: Pricing not published — quoted after a call · Lock-in: 12-month on technology and SEO; month-to-month on ad management

10.

Rival Digital

49/100

Best for: plumbers who want an AI-search-forward shop and are comfortable doing diligence by reference call

Strengths

  • Home-services-only across eight trades, with Local Services Ads management as a named service line
  • Unusually forward on AI search — AI Search Optimization and ChatGPT advertising are both productized
  • States it offers flat-rate pricing and transparent reporting

Considerations

  • The least numerically documented agency here: its own site publishes no client count, founding year or review count, and no actual flat-rate figures
  • Intake looks capacity-limited, so start dates may not be immediate

Pricing: States flat-rate pricing; no figures published · Lock-in: Not published

How we ranked these

Every agency is scored out of 100 across five weighted dimensions. The weights are fixed across every list on this site, so a 78 here means the same thing as a 78 on any other niche.

  1. Niche specialization30 points

How much of the agency's actual business is this one industry. A shop that works only in this niche scores full marks; a generalist that lists it among twenty verticals scores about half.

  2. Pricing transparency20 points

Does it publish what it charges on its own website. Full marks for real numbers you can read before a sales call, partial for a published budget framework or starting-at figure, zero for "contact us".

  3. Proof and reviews20 points

Verifiable evidence on its own site: years in business, client counts, named case studies, third-party review counts, Google/Meta partner badges. Unsourced hype counts for nothing.

  4. Service fit20 points

Whether the service mix matches what this industry actually needs to get customers, rather than what is easiest to sell.

  5. Contract flexibility10 points

Month-to-month terms and client ownership of the website, ad accounts and data score highest; undisclosed or multi-year terms score lowest.

Every agency here was checked against its own live website. Pricing, contract terms, client counts and review counts are only stated where the agency publishes them — everything else is recorded as "not published" rather than guessed at. Scores are ours, they are subjective, and the rubric above is published so you can disagree with them.

Frequently asked questions

How much should a plumbing company spend on marketing?

ServiceTitan advises plumbers to "dedicate at least 10% of sales toward their plumbing marketing budget", and calls a 5% budget "a small 'maintenance' budget that yields minimal results". Hook Agency, working from its own client base, puts typical plumbing companies in the 8–15% of revenue range — $80,000 to $150,000 a year for a $1M plumbing company. Both figures include ad spend, not just agency fees.

What does a plumbing marketing agency cost per month?

Only three of the ten companies on this list publish anything. Footbridge Media is $249/month with no contract and no setup fee. Hook Agency publishes a full card — Local SEO $2,800/mo, PPC $2,000/mo, Meta Ads $3,000/mo — with a yearly commitment. Plumbing Webmasters publishes "$99 to Start" but not the monthly rate. Karbon publishes intro tiers from $500/month. Everyone else quotes on a call, which is exactly why this page has a pricing column.

What is a good cost per lead for plumbing ads?

LocaliQ's home-services advertising benchmarks put plumbing search ads at $48.91 average cost per lead, $8.67 per click and a 2.87% click-through rate — from a sample of 4,595 North American home-services accounts. Read it with the date in mind: that dataset runs May 2020 to June 2021. Hook Agency's current practitioner estimate is $40–$100 per lead depending on job type and market, which brackets the older figure well.

Are Local Services Ads better than Google Ads for plumbers?

They are a different purchase. Google states plainly: "With Local Services Ads, you pay for valid leads" — you are charged when a customer texts or emails you, when you answer a call and speak with them, when they leave a voicemail, or when they send a booking request. Regular search ads charge per click regardless of outcome. Most plumbers who can run both put emergency and drain work through LSAs and use search ads for higher-consideration jobs like repipes and water heaters.

How does the Local Services Ads budget actually work?

You set an average weekly budget, and Google caps the month from it: "The exact formula for the monthly max is average weekly budget x 30.4 ÷ 7." Google adds that "in some weeks you may spend less than your average weekly budget, and in others you may exceed it based on demand" — but you never exceed the monthly maximum. So a $500 weekly budget caps out at roughly $2,171 a month, and week-to-week swings are normal rather than a sign something is broken.

Is the Google Guarantee badge still worth it in 2026?

The badge is changing, and most plumbing listicles have not caught up. Google's own documentation states that "Google will be discontinuing the Money Back Guarantee associated with the Google Guarantee badge", with reimbursement requests for services booked before December 7, 2025 accepted within 30 days of service completion. Google frames it as "simplifying our advertiser badging by launching a single badge for all advertisers." The verification and badge remain; the consumer refund behind it does not.

Can I still dispute a bad Local Services Ads lead?

Not manually — it is automated now. Google says "leads are first assessed when the potential customer makes initial contact, and leads determined to be invalid or low quality are not charged", and that charged leads "get reassessed by our models over time, and may be issued credits automatically", applied within 30 days. Two exclusions matter for plumbers: Google "no longer supports credits for 'job type not serviced' and 'geo not serviced' leads." Set your service areas and job types tightly, because the safety net for getting those wrong is gone.

Should a plumbing company hire an agency or a marketing employee?

A competent in-house marketer costs more per year than every retainer on this list except the largest, and one person cannot run SEO, paid search, LSAs and creative equally well. Agencies spread specialists across accounts; you give up some responsiveness in exchange. In-house starts to win at roughly $20M in revenue or when you are running several brands.
